A Community Café, supporting Your Holistic Health Journey

Our Mission

Cacao Atelier Café is a community café in Herne Bay, Kent.

Dee was inspired to create a meaningful space for healing and connection through her own experience of grief.

The Café has a very clear mission:
-
To give you space
-
To let you breathe
-
To remind you that healing can be as simple as a warm drink, a heartfelt chat, or a few minutes of stillness

Specialising in heart-opening ceremonial cacao, speciality tea, coffee, and healthy, gluten free cuisine for your nourishment.

This community hub is here to serve and nurture the community, holistically, by hosting regular wellbeing workshops and talks, designed to support your mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.

The café is unique in that it is a CIC project to support the charity Connect & Thrive.

Why Cacao?

Recent research has shown that the high-flavanol cacao can help increase the number of circulating stem cells in the body. These are the cells that support natural healing and tissue repair.
It supports lower blood pressure, can improve cognitive function and could reduce mental fatigue. Cacao contains compounds such as phenylethylamine and tryptophan, which support the production of endorphins and serotonin. These compounds can help lift your mood and reduce anxiety.
Spiritually, cacao has a long history of being used in ceremony and ritual. In modern ceremonies it is used for intention setting, heart-opening and inner self-connection. It's said to promote love and compassion, whilst facilitating heightened states of awareness.
